Out of the Ordinary Book Launch

Friday 16th September 2022 at 13:33

It was a magical evening at the beautiful Fitzrovia Chapel in central London - a celebration of the publication of Anita's new book which will be on sale in October.

We brought a small selection of Anita's newest paintings with us - they looked magical in the candlelit chapel. We were joined by Andrew Brown of Art/Books publishing and some of the team from Eames Fine Art who have been working on this book with Anita and Andrew, and many of Anita's collectors, those who had purchased Anita's special Collectors' Edition of the book.

It is so exciting to finally see and hold this beautiful book after so long planning it!  Here is an extract from the backcover:

"This book is a selection of five hundred and fifty of Klein's best-loved prints. It presents a charming chronological record of the family's day-to-day life through the decades, seen from the artist-mother's perspective, as they grow and change in their respective roles within the household. We can also follow her development as a printmaker, from the simple monochrome drypoints in the 1980s, a consequence of the practical and financial demands of being a young stay-at-home mum, through to the more colourful and elaborate prints of recent years."

Introduced by Vincent Eames, Anita gave a moving talk about her work and her excitement and joy at bringing together 40 years' worth of work for this beautiful publication.
'Out of the Ordinary | 40 Years of Printmaking; is published by Art/Books, in association with Eames Fine Art and distributed by Thames and Hudson Internationally.
